Position Overview

We are seeking a Machine Learning Intern to join our innovative team. This internship will focus on developing generative models for building systems, including structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing (MEP) components. The role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge problems at the intersection of AI, geometry, and engineering, helping shape the future of automated design.

Responsibilities

  • Research and prototype generative models (e.g., diffusion models, transformers, or graph-based models) for building system design.
  • Develop data pipelines for training models on building information and engineering data.
  • Implement and fine-tune machine learning algorithms for 2D/3D geometric data.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate models into the design workflow.
  • Conduct experiments and evaluate model performance on real-world AEC use cases.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong foundation in deep learning (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
  • Familiarity with generative models (VAEs, GANs, diffusion models, or transformers).
  • Experience with geometric data (meshes, graphs, or BIM models) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries.
  • Knowledge of AEC domain concepts or interest in architecture and engineering is a bonus.
