Sensequake is the world leader in structural health monitoring and seismic technologies, making cities safer and smarter. Sensequake has developed state-of-the-art vibration sensors and software for new and existing buildings, bridges and infrastructure and has offered services to a wide range of clients directly and through their network of international partners. Their sensing technology is being used to assess landmark structures worldwide for projects such as the Canadian parliament buildings and the New Champlain Bridge.
Candidates should have a solid background in Python or JavaScript. Enrolment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Music Technology degree is preferred, but not required. Database experience and the ability to read music notation are considered strong assets.
Sensequake is looking for a software engineering intern who would like to join our growing company and advance our products. You are expected to work on various software projects running on a cloud server.
Internship Description
- Understand Sensequake’s products, their operation, and use cases. Learn the software architecture in detail.
- Work with other team members to further develop our cloud platform. You will develop frontend and backend software.
- Work on data analysis and visualization.
Skills Required
- Currently enrolled in a software engineering or computer science degree.
- Excellent skills in Python and JavaScript.
- Write clean, readable, and scalable code.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Motivated to contribute to our products by implementing innovative solutions.
Assets
- Experience in web development.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of calculus and linear algebra.
- Github / Gitlab.
- Fluent in English.
